Computer Vision Engineer

Ledworks is looking for a highly qualified and enthusiastic Computer Vision Engineer to join our development team at our headquarters in Mestrino (Padua).   • Develop and implement advanced computer vision algorithms for image analysis and recognition within our decorative lighting products.
  • Collaborate with the research and development team to identify new applications and improvements of our computer vision algorithms.
  • Design and implement software and systems for the acquisition, processing and interpretation of visual data.
  • Develop and test prototypes and solutions based on computer vision to evaluate their effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams, such as the design team and the hardware engineering team, to ensure the optimal integration of computer vision systems into our products.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in computer vision and propose innovative solutions to improve our products and processes.

Professional skills

  • Degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the development and implementation of computer vision algorithms.
  • In-depth knowledge of the main computer vision frameworks and libraries, such as OpenCV and TensorFlow.
  • Expertise in programming with languages such as Python, C++ or MATLAB for image and visual data processing.
  • Knowledge of the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning applied to computer vision.
  • Familiarity with image pre-processing and post-processing techniques such as filtering, segmentation and feature extraction.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret the results of computer vision algorithms and to carry out debugging and optimisation when necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.

Preferred skills

  • Experience in developing computer vision solutions for the lighting or related industries.
  • Knowledge of deep learning frameworks and platforms such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Expertise in developing computer vision applications for embedded systems or mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with localisation, tracking and object recognition techniques.
  • Experience in working with sensor data, such as RGB cameras, thermal cameras or Lidar.
